Biography: Joan Gold

My name is Joan and I am Ward Liaison Training Manager and Membership Secretary for the radio station.

 

I have been involved with Southend Hospital Radio for about 9 years now and thoroughly enjoy my evenings at the station. Together with my Husband, Dave, I have been connected with Hospital Radio, in some form or another, for many years, having been part of North Middlesex Hospital in North London before moving to South East Essex.

 

My favourite job at the station is Ward Liaison, as I am very much a"people person". I so enjoy the friendly chats and good humoured banter with the patients while collecting their requests. So, if you are like minded and can spare a couple of hours each week to help out, you would be more than welcome!

 

Just call the studio on either a Wednesday or Thursday evening after 6 pm and ask for me..
